Who uses 3D?

3D technology is being used today to save money and improve productivity and effectiveness in many areas. Some examples:

• CAD/CAM/CAE
• Virtual prototyping
• Molecular modeling
• 3D Animation
• Minimally Invasive Surgery
• Petroleum exploration

But this is only the beginning.  There are dozens of additional applications, such as movies, interactive gaming, eCommerce, military, robotics, and more. The potential is almost unlimited.

In fact, the 3D Consortium (founded by Sharp, Itochu, Sanyo, Sony and others) has projected the 3D stereoscopic market will grow to over $25 billion in the next five years in Japan alone!
