The 3ality team

The founders of 3ality provide an excellent mix of managerial, business and technical expertise.

Yosh Mantinband, CEO, is a seasoned manager with over 20 years experience in both startup and large public companies. In 1997, he served as Vice President, Technology & Operations (CTO/COO) at Virtual Jerusalem, an Internet company (now a subsidiary of Virtual Communities, Inc.). Previously (1993-1997) he was employed by Accent Software International Ltd., where as Vice President he supervised six technical departments. His prior positions include Technical Director at Machshevet Software and Director of Software at Xanadu International. Before moving to Israel, he was a senior engineer at Data General. As a consultant he has served numerous clients, including Perceptronics, Boole and Babbage Network Systems, Mer Communications, and the Israel Broadcasting Authority.

In late 1997, Yosh co-founded Mantinband Goldberg Associates Ltd. (MGA), an investment advisory company specializing in due diligence investigations. MGA has investigated dozens of companies on behalf of its clients. They have provided post-investment/acquisition management consulting as well. Yosh holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University and an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Ergonomics from North Carolina State University.

Hillel Goldberg, Executive Vice President, has over a decade of experience in finance, technology, and management. He is also a co-founder of MGA and has worked with Yosh consulting for numerous clients and investigating prospective investments. Before MGA, he was an actuary in the USA for Kwasha Lipton (now a unit of PricewaterhouseCoopers), where he gained extensive experience in analyzing, quantifying and explaining financial models and risk. He also served as Manager of Technical Documentation at Accent. He has consulted for a number of leading high tech companies in Israel, including ServiceSoft, Crystal Systems Solutions, NSICom, and NetManage. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.

Paul and Ilan Kleinberger, Co-Chief Scientists, are the inventors. This father-and-son team has spent years refining and extending the 3ality core technology. They are experts in the fields of linear optics and stereoscopic display. Their work in these areas has thus far earned them several patents in the United States, with more pending in the US and internationally. A graduate of Yale University, Paul's diverse background includes a Master of Fine Arts, software design and implementation, and industrial psychology. A veteran inventor, Paul also holds patents related to information retrieval technology. Software based on that technology earned both the Editors' Choice award from PC Magazine and the Best New Computer Application award from the American Software Publishers Association.

Avner Hermoni, Director, has managed several high-tech firms. Currently, he is CEO of Shiron Satellite Communications. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Managing Director of Kulecke and Soffa (Israel). Previously, he was President and Managing Director of Orbot Instruments, a position he held until Applied Materials acquired the company for $110 million in 1996. Avner has a Bachelor's degree in advanced economics from the University of Haifa.

Boyd MacNaughton, President, MacNaughton, Inc. (dba NuVision Technologies). NuVision, originally founded as a spin-off from Tektronix, is a veteran player in the stereoscopic display market. They have introduced several innovative 3D products and currently manufacture and sell a variety of 3D display solutions. They are partnering with 3ality in developing and productizing our technology. MacNaughton, Inc. is a shareholder in 3ality, Inc.
